Volunteer
Research shows that parent/guardian involvement is a key ingredient to successful students! Our school has so many great ways to get involved at all levels, from joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) board to supervising students on the yard during recess! Volunteering is a great way to meet other families, get to know your student's teachers and find out what's going on at school. You choose the level of involvement and the areas that interest you. Whether you're looking for a one-day gig or a long-term commitment or something in between, we can use your time and talents to help Bella Vista students. When we all pitch in, it makes a huge difference!
Volunteering through OUSD
Families are welcome on campus for drop off and scheduled meetings with school staff. Guardians or volunteers that want to remain on campus for more than 15 minutes during the school day register to be Oakland Ed Fund approved volunteers. The Oakland Ed Fund coordinates volunteers in partnership with OUSD. To volunteer in the classroom or on campus, you MUST complete their online registration process which may require a background check and fingerprinting. The Ed Fund also coordinates groups of volunteers from companies and other organizations, if you are interested in a community service project.
